Mistakes

Common Mistakes Veterans Make With VA Claims

Most veterans do not lose because their condition is not real. They lose because the claim is not built clearly enough.

Filing Random Claims

This is the biggest mistake. Veterans file everything they can think of without knowing what can actually move the rating.

Misreading What The VA Is Missing

This is stronger than “not knowing what evidence matters” because it points directly to decision letters, denials, and why claims fail.

Downplaying Symptoms During A C&P Exam

This is huge. We hear this on calls constantly. Veterans minimize symptoms, say “I’m fine,” or explain how they push through instead of explaining the true impact.

Ignoring Secondary Conditions

Some conditions may be connected to already service-connected disabilities. Missing that connection can leave a real path undeveloped

founder

I Built Total Force Claims After Going Through The VA Process Myself

I’m Tyler, a United States Air Force veteran and founder of Total Force Claims.

When I filed my own VA disability claim,
I saw firsthand how confusing the process can be. Most veterans are never taught how ratings work, what evidence actually matters, or how to explain their conditions in a way the VA can properly evaluate

That is why I created Total Force Claims.

My goal is to help veterans stop guessing, avoid common mistakes, and move forward with a clear strategy based on their service history, symptoms, records, and evidence.

This is not about giving generic advice.
It's about helping you understand whether there is a real path forward and, if you decide to move forward, helping you build the claim strategy the right way.

FAQS

Free Consultation.
Paid Strategy Support.

Your consultation is free. We use that call to understand your current rating, claim goals, prior denials, and whether there may be a real path forward.

If we believe we can help, we’ll explain what full claim strategy support includes, how the process works, and what it looks like to get started.

No pressure. No guessing. Just a clear conversation before you make a decision.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The consultation is free. We use the call to understand where you are with your VA claim, what your goals are, and whether there appears to be a real path forward.

Is full claim strategy support a paid service?

Yes, if there is a real path forward and you decide to move forward, full claim strategy support is a paid service.

Do you guarantee a VA rating?

No company can guarantee a specific VA rating or decision. VA makes the final decision. What we do is help you build the strongest strategy possible based on your service history, records, symptoms, evidence, and claim goals.

Can you help if I was denied?

Yes. A denial does not always mean the condition is not valid. Many times, the decision letter shows what the VA believed was missing. We review the denial, identify the issue, and help determine the best path forward.

Can you help if I already have a rating?

Yes. Many veterans are already rated but may be underrated, missing secondary conditions, or unsure what to do next. We help review your current rating, symptoms, and possible paths forward.

Do I need all my records before booking?

No. You do not need every record before booking a free consultation. We can start with where you are now. If you move forward, we will explain what records and documents are needed for the full strategy build.

Do you take a percentage of my back pay?

No. Total Force Claims does not take a percentage of your back pay. Our support is a flat-fee service explained before you decide to move forward.

What happens after I move forward?

Once you move forward, we send the onboarding steps, review your records and claim details, build the claim strategy, help with personal statements, prepare you for C&P exams, and guide you through the process.
